Arnprior:
Tomorrow: The 4th Annual Arnprior Witch Walk takes place from 1-4PM through the downtown core (Note the new start time this year). Meet up at Christina Studios, 57C Madawaska Street. There’s a streamlined registration process with plenty of activities along the route. Participants must bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation. Proceeds from the Witch Walk will be shared between the Arnprior and District Food Bank and the Longer Table, as the goal is to help assure greater food security in the community.
At 2PM on October 25th, the community is welcome to join Chrystal Toop, a proud member of the Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. Chrystal, owner/operator of Blackbird Medicines (blackbirdmedecines.ca), will speak about her practice as an Indigenous Death Doula and practitioner of plant and Land-based spiritual and cultural wellness on unceded Algonquin territory. Chrystal’s talk is free for everyone and refreshments will be served.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Coffee Time Drop-in happens from 10-1130AM at the Pakenham Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library.

Join the Almonte Civitan Club for Fright Up the Night: An Almonte Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, performed by the Mississippi Mudds. Doors to the Almonte Civitan Community Hall open at 6PM, with the show starting at 6:30.

Friends of Cedar Hill Schoolhouse for a night of laughs, friendly competition and card-playing fun at Euchre Night. Start time is 7PM at 270 Cedar Hill Side Road. Whether you’re a Euchre pro or just learning the ropes, all are welcome.

Almonte in Concert kicks off their 2025-2026 season with Rhythm and Song at 7:30PM at Almonte Old Town Hall. Featured are Percussiano3. Carleton Place:
Tomorrow: Race Around the Place, Carleton Place’s own community-driven run event, kicks off at 9AM. Hosted by a dedicated volunteer team, this not-for-profit event features three distances—a Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K—welcoming everyone from first-time racers to seasoned athletes. Staggered race start times to ensure a smooth experience for runners and volunteers alike. The Half Marathon will kick off at 9:00 AM, followed by the 10K at 9:15 AM, and the 5K at 9:30 AM.

A United Cemeteries Tour takes place from 1-230PM. The guided walking tour passes the earliest graves dating to the 1820s, and belong to the community’s first settlers. Tickets are $20 each and available at the Museum or by etransfer to cpbmuseum@outlook.com.
A Harvest Ham & Bean Dinner is being offered by Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street, from 430-6PM. Come share a meal with family and friends.
