We’ve come a long way in a realtively short time in the field of household composting.
The FoodCycler product line was first introduced by Food Cycle Science, in 2011 in Ottawa.
Their original countertop food waste recycler has been expanded to a whole family of products- meaning there’s a model for every household size!
Bigger isn’t always better as we saw with their latest model, the FoodCycler Eco 3, was officially launched on July 24, 2024. This compact version was designed for smaller households and limited counter space.
Models now range from 2.5 litres to 5 litres in a price range from $150 to $300- and in many muncipalities, there are grants to help with the acquisition process.
No matter which model you choose, you’ll be helping reduce food waste while creating nutrient-rich byproduct for your garden.
