Take Note: At 2PM on October 25th, the community is welcome to join Chrystal Toop, a proud member of the Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. Chrystal, owner/operator of Blackbird Medicines (blackbirdmedecines.ca), will speak about her practice as an Indigenous Death Doula and practitioner of plant and Land-based spiritual and cultural wellness on unceded Algonquin territory. Chrystal’s talk is free for everyone and refreshments will be served.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The North Lanark Regional Museum invites you to join in today at noon for lunch and euchre! The program “Shuffling the Cards” runs every Monday from 12 – 2:30 p.m. Have a nutritious lunch and play a game of euchre. Admission is $10 per person. This program is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Grant.
The Learning Again in Almonte Series presents “Horns, High Notes and Heroes: A Neophyte’s Guide to the Opera” with accomplished baritone Dr. Mark Wilkinson. Through interactive presentations, discussions, and real-world examples, you’re invited to discover the joy and beauty of opera. Sessions run October 20th, 27th, November 3rd and 10th from 7-9PM. Cost is $65.

Today: The Beyond Curling Social Scene happens from 1130AM-330PM at the Curling Club, 120 Patterson Crescent.
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon-1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
