Take Note: On Saturday October 18th from 9AM to Noon you are invited to join the Macnamara Field Naturalists’ Club as it celebrates the many achievements of their volunteers and the hard work they do in maintaining this beautiful trail. There will be light refreshments, guided hikes, and a kid-friendly scavenger hunt – all for free! Meet at 284 McNab Avenue in Arnprior.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Coffee Time Drop-in happens from 10-1130AM at the Pakenham Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library.
Tomorrow: The 150th Anniversary Celebrations for Almonte District High School are taking place from 9AM-10PM. Events include a Golf Tournament, Turkey Bowl, Touch Football Game and an Open House with live music, food and drinks. Whether you’re a proud alum, current student, family member, or friend of the school, you’re invited to be part of this unforgettable milestone.
Carleton Place:
Today: Oktoberfest with the Bowes Brothers takes place from 530-8PM at St. James Anglican Church.
Menu includes Oktoberfest Sausage, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Sauerkraut, Black Forest Cake and Coffee or Tea.
Tickets are $30 available from the Church Office from 9AM to 1PM Tuesday to Friday, with advance sales only. There is a cash bar with beer and wine available. Dinner is at 530PM, Dancing from 6-8PM
The Festival of Small Halls presents Ashley MacIsaac at the Carleton Place Arena on Neelin Street. Doors open at 7PM, show starts at 730PM. Tickets are $52.20 each.
