Arnprior:
Take Note: On Saturday October 18th from 9AM to Noon you are invited to join the Macnamara Field Naturalists’ Club as it celebrates the many achievements of their volunteers and the hard work they do in maintaining this beautiful trail. There will be light refreshments, guided hikes, and a kid-friendly scavenger hunt – all for free! Meet at 284 McNab Avenue in Arnprior.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for ages up to 12 months (with a caregiver) is offered at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 10-1030AM.
The Spanish Conversation Group meets at the Almonte branch every second Wednesday from 4-5pm. This is a casual Spanish conversation group so some knowledge of Spanish is required to participate. Please check the library’s website to ensure program is running on the day you want to attend.
Tomorrow:
A Meal for All’s Free Community Breakfast takes place from 830-1030AM at 111 Church Street in Almonte. A MEAL FOR ALL strives to build community by providing opportunities to gather and share food.
Home Hospice North Lanark’s Caregiver Support Group meets from 1-3PM at Unit 2, 500 Ottawa Street in Almonte. RSVP to programsupport@hhnl.ca
Carleton Place:
Today: The Free Community Breakfast is offered from 830-1030AM at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street.
The Queer Sphere Crafting Circle meets from 3-4:30pm at the Carleton Place Library. The project is a diorama. Teens aged 12-16 are welcome to join in for this fun, safe, welcoming session. Bring along your own craft if this isn’t your thing.
Local Sports:
Arnprior Packers host the Glengarry Brigade at 730PM Friday in the Glenn Arthur Arena at the NSC.
