The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has been selected to act as host community for a pilot project being intitiated by the Local Immigration Partnership Lanark & Renfrew Counties for a municipal inclusion charter
and welcome package. The project will set out guidelines for fair and inclusive leadership and ensure a
welcoming environment for residents. Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, October 7th at 4PM
to talk about the plan for the inclusion charter. The news was announced by Gabriela Salera, Project Coordinator with Local Immigration Partnership during a presentation at the Town’s September meeting.
