Mississippi Mills is committed to Reconciliation.
A three-day event celebrating the process begins Sunday in the community.
Reconciliation Through Art honours Indigenous culture, history, and truth through art, music, film, food, and teachings.
Events will be held at various locations in Almonte. (Some events are by donation, some are ticketed).
Highlights include:
Sunday, Sept 28th, 2–5 PM: Inendi film screening + discussion with Sarain Fox.
Monday, Sept 29th, 6:30–10 PM: Our Voices in Song concert featuring Amanda Rheaume, Digging Roots and others.
Tuesday, Sept 30th, 8 AM: Water Walk & Offering. 10 AM–5 PM: Indigenous Art Showcase & Teachings
Various artists, educators, and performers will share their stories, crafts, and wisdom- including Jason Baerg, Jen Brant, Tony Belcourt and Crystal Martin. Enjoy local favourites Frybread Queen & Turtle Lodge Trading Post.
