The Annual Arnprior Shred Day Event is September 27th! Individuals and businesses are invited to participate in this important fundraiser to safeguard personal information and prevent identity theft. This event offers a convenient and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents, like bank statements and tax records, ensuring their destruction and preventing potential misuse. Cost: $10.00 per bankers box. The location is the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home office at 106 McGonigal Street, West in Arnprior.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for ages up to 12 months (with a caregiver) is offered at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 10-1030AM.
Film in the Afternoon happens from 1-3PM. Stop by the Almonte branch library for their monthly movie feature. Check the library website for the movie title of the month. No registration required. Room capacity is 30 people.
Learning Again in Almonte – ‘Can We Talk?’ A Decade of Insights and Anecdotes from Raconteur and Literary Columnist Phil Jenkins is being presented at Hillside Church, 273 Almonte Street from 2-4PM. The Spanish Conversation Group meets at the Almonte Library Branch from 4-5PM. This is a casual Spanish conversation group so some knowledge of Spanish is required to participate. Please check the library’s website to ensure program is running on the day you want to attend.
The Almonte Celtfest Annual General Meeting will take place in the meeting room of the Stan Mills Centre, 375 Country Street, from 530-730PM. Those interested in volunteering- or putting their name in for a position on the Board of Directors are invited to attend.
Tomorrow: The Mississippi Mills Business Breakfast takes place from 7-9AM at the Stewart Community Centre in Pakenham. You, your employees, coworkers and neighbours to attend. The Arnprior Packers home opener that was to have happened at the NSC Friday has been rescheduled to February as the ice surfaces are not ready due to current renovations.
Arnprior McNab Braeside United Soccer’s WINTER RECREATIONAL PROGRAM Registration is on now for the U5/U6, U7/U8, and U9/U10 Boys & Girls program. This program is perfect for young players to learn, play, and have fun in a supportive environment. Sessions start October 6th and there are 23 sessions in total.
