Take Note: The Annual Arnprior Shred Day Event is September 27th! Individuals and businesses are invited to participate in this important fundraiser to safeguard personal information and prevent identity theft. This event offers a convenient and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents, like bank statements and tax records, ensuring their destruction and preventing potential misuse. Cost: $10.00 per bankers box. The location is the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home office at 106 McGonigal Street, West in Arnprior.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The North Lanark Regional Museum invites you to join in today at noon for lunch and euchre! The program “Shuffling the Cards” runs every Monday from 12 – 2:30 p.m. Have a nutritious lunch and play a game of euchre. Admission is $10 per person. This program is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Grant.
Carleton Place:
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch happens from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street. Everyone is welcome.
Civitan Weekly Bingo takes place from 430-9PM at the Carleton Place Arena, 75 Neelin Street. Doors open at 4:30, games begin 6:30. There is a well stocked canteen along with several dedicated Civitan member ready to assist you.
Silent Art Night happens at the Carleton Place Public Library beginning at 6PM. Have you heard about the Silent Book Clubs where people meet at a public location, chat for a few minutes, and then read in silence for the rest of the evening? Similarly, the Library invites you to Silent Art Night. Bring along whatever you’re working on—a painting, your sketchbook, that blanket you’re crocheting—and do it quietly in a room full of other people who love to create, but don’t want the pressure of having to make conversation. Local Sports:
The EOJHL Season is underway. The Arnprior Packers scheduled game Friday September 26th against the Ottawa Junior Canadians is cancelled due to the lack of ice availability at the Nick Smith Centre. A make-up game will be scheduled towards the end of the season.
Arnprior McNab Braeside United Soccer’s WINTER RECREATIONAL PROGRAM Registration is on now for the U5/U6, U7/U8, and U9/U10 Boys & Girls program. This program is perfect for young players to learn, play, and have fun in a supportive environment. Sessions start October 6th and there are 23 sessions in total.
