There are certain “Rules of Thumb” you need to bear in mind about the current status of Pakenham’s Five Span Bridge. The next scheduled closures are Monday (Sept 22nd) and Wednesday (Sept 24th) of next week.
The bridge may be closed periodically at other times as needed to facilitate work.
If the bridge is closed during construction, it will only be closed as follows: Monday – Thursday: Half-hour before sunrise to half-hour before sunset. Friday: Half-hour before sunrise to noon.
The bridge will remain open overnight and weekends/holidays.
The planned detour route is Galetta Side Road, Upper Dwyer Hill Road and Kinburn Side Road.
