What to do when the well runs dry, well runs dry, well runs dry…
Ottawa Ward Five Councillor Clarke Kelly is sharing information you’ll need to keep handy if you find yourself in a similar situation.
The constituency office was recently called by a resident whose well had run dry.
The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority has posted a Level 3 (Severe) Low Water threshold, and advises that residents should cut back on water usage consequentially.
The councillor says while Ottawa can’t govern how you use your well water, they could be the ones helping you if the water runs out.
Kelly has provided a link which shares information on what people can do if their well does go dry, and which City facilities are available for their use if they need potable water and/or showers etc.
We’ve shared it on our website.
