Mississippi Mills has set aside $3,600 to fund the municipality’s Neighbourhood Micro Grants Program for 2025, and there’s still some money in the kitty.
Micro grants of up to $200 are available to residents for initiatives that connect and engage neighbourhood residents of all ages and abilities; share residents’ skills and knowledge within the community; build a sense of ownership and pride; and respect and celebrate diversity.
For example, you could host a block party to introduce new neighbours, clean up the area, offer free yoga lessons for the community or initiate storytelling projects that involve seniors and youth.
