Arnprior:
Take Note: The Town of Arnprior Recreation Department presents its “Summer’s End Showcase” on Sunday August 31st from Noon to 3PM at the gazebo at Robert Simpson Park. The Summer’s End Showcase is a short music festival to wrap up the summer event series with 6 local acts on stage for 30 minutes each.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for ages up to 12 months (with a caregiver) is offered at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 10-1030AM.
Film in the Afternoon. Stop by the Almonte branch library for their monthly movie feature. Check the library website for the movie title of the month. No registration required. Room capacity is 30 people.
Join the Ramsay Women’s Institute for their popular Tea on the Lawn tradition at the Mill of Kintail every Wednesday in July and August from 1:30 to 3 pm. The final session for this year’s season is today. Enjoy tea, baked goods and making social connections. First come, first served.
The Spanish Conversation Group meets Spanish Conversation Group meet at the Almonte library branch every second Wednesday from 4-5pm. This is a casual Spanish conversation group so some knowledge of Spanish is required to participate. Please check the library’s website to ensure program is running on the day you want to attend.
Car Toot Bingo is on at the Almonte Fair Grounds. Tickets are available at the gate, (which opens at 530PM). The Bingo runs from 7-10PM at 195 Water Street.
Tomorrow: A Meal for All’s Free Community Breakfast takes place from 830-1030AM at 111 Church Street in Almonte. A MEAL FOR ALL strives to build community by providing opportunities to gather and share food.

Carleton Place:
Today: The Free Community Breakfast is offered from 830-1030AM at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street.

Information Sessions on First Confession. Communion or Confirmation will be held at 7PM on Wednesday August 27th in the Parish Hall at St. Mary’s Church, 28 Hawthorne Avenue. Learn more about the faith journey to these sacraments and what it entails, and pick up a registration form for your child. Classes begin in October and no late registrations are allowed. Tomorrow: Join us at the Carleton Junction Pavilion from 630-8PM as we kick back with some great live music by Cargo Cult. Bring a snack, and a chair/comfy seat. There are washrooms and a refillable water bottle station on site. Cargo Cult is an Ottawa acoustic duo bringing back the best from the 70s and the decades that surround.
