Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: All this week both the websites of the Town of Arnprior and the Municipality of Mississippi Mills are promoting the Summer Adventure Camp schedule at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area. Activities are offered weekdays from 9AM-4PM for kids ages 6-12. Campers enjoy a variety of nature-themed games and adventurous activities at the beautiful Mill of Kintail location. Each day will include time spent playing, learning and exploring in the forested trails, stream, and fields. For major activities, campers will be split by age groups as needed to ensure age-appropriate levels of play.

Take Note: Arnprior’s Cultural Night Market is slated for Saturday August 23rd from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Arnprior’s historic Downtown Core. The Cultural Night Market will feature diverse performers and vendors in an exploration of the different cultures and heritages in the community.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Check the Summer Adventure Camp schedule at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area. Activities are offered weekdays from 9AM-4PM for kids ages 6-12. The Mill of Kintail Conservation Area is located at 2854 Ramsay Concession 8, Almonte.
Tomorrow: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for ages up to 12 months (with a caregiver) is offered at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 10-1030AM.
The Ramsay Women’s Institute Tea on the Lawn at the Mill of Kintail Museum is cancelled tomorrow due to a site-wide event. The next Tea on the Lawn will be Wednesday September 27th, from 130-3PM. Enjoy tea, baked goods and making social connections.
Car Toot Bingo is on at the Almonte Fair Grounds. Tickets are available at the gate, (which opens at 530PM). The Bingo runs from 7-10PM at 195 Water Street.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Carleton Place Community Lunch happens from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street. Everyone is welcome.
Tomorrow: The Free Community Breakfast is offered from 830-1030AM at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street.

Information Sessions on First Confession. Communion or Confirmation will be held August 20th at 7PM or Wednesday August 27th at 7PM in the Parish Hall at St. Mary’s Church, 28 Hawthorne Avenue. Learn more about the faith journey to these sacraments and what it entails, and pick up a registration form for your child. Classes begin in October and no late registrations are allowed.
