The Township of Horton will be getting some help as more pressure is put on local infrastructure.
A $36,000 investment by the Canada Community-Building Fund has improved a stretch of Lime Kiln Road, a main roadway that allows drivers to use Highway 17 without requiring a detour to Renfrew.
The project will reduce noise and dust for residents using the road, as well for as both the 50 homes in the immediate area and future growth.
The CCBF and the township say that Lime Kiln Road is the first of many improvements to Horton’s road network over the next five years.
