Alexander Simardone of Osmow’s corporate head office was among dignitaries attending the official grand opening of Osmow’s Shawarma on Daniel Street in Arnprior today. He tells us that although the first Osmow’s restaurant was established in 2001, the chain of Egyptian-style shawarma makers is now rapidly growing with over 200 locations in Canada, and is expanding to the USA.
Simardone says today alone there were two official grand openings for Osmow’s.
Arnprior Mayor Lisa McGee was pressed into service for two cutting ceremonies- the ribbon, and inside- the cake! The Mayor was joined by Deputy Chief Cory Nicholas and Chief Rick Desarmia of the Arnprior Fire Service in representing the municipality.
All of the ceremonies pale to the taste of Osmow’s shawarma and its line-up of delicious desserts. Patrons and new fans can check out the specials that Ankita Patel and her crew have cooked up for $8.99 today in celebration, as Osmow’s is open until midnight.
