At McNab-Braeside Council Tuesday, Public Works received an earful!
Not to joke about road safety- but an earful of corn is one of three matters brought to the Council Table by elected representatives in Agenda segment 14.7, “Various Road Conditions”.
Councillor Robert Campbell led off with what for him has been an on-going peeve over conditions on Campbell Drive and Carmichael Side Road.
Torrents of rain earlier this summer contributed.
However, the Councillor says it’s a long-standing problem.
Bobby Campbell says it doesn’t matter whether the particular road is Township or County jurisdiction, the lack of results are similar.
Campbell believes road maintenance shouldn’t neglect an obligation to brush.
Deputy Mayor Scott Brum says Mother Nature isn’t always the culprit.
Now, wait for it- here’s the punch line.
Bobby Campbell’s suggestion to restore road inspections to Fire Department staff wasn’t accepted, as Mayor Lori Hoddinott notes there’s a specific staffer assigned to the role.
A list of concerns was prepared, and will be shared with new Public Works Supervisor, Allison MacMillan.
