Tomorrow: Bicentennial Celebrations for McNab-Braeside Township happen at the Municipal Complex on Russett Drive Saturday from 10AM-4PM. There’s a free BBQ and Strawberry Social involved as well as storytelling and entertainment. This event was 200 years in the planning!
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Pakenham Drop-In Coffee Time happens at the Library Branch from 10-1130AM
The Conversational French Club is on at the Almonte Library Branch from 10:30 to 1130AM
The Second Annual Multicultural Pot Luck on Lower Mill Street between Brae Street and Mill Street takes place from 5-9PM (Rain location at Almonte Old Town Hall) Visit inclusionMM.org/potluck for details
Tomorrow: The Almonte Fairgrounds is the venue for the Multicultural Food and Kite Festival, happening from 10AM to 6PM. There will be Multicultural performances, live music, fun, games and deliciously diverse cuisine. Parking is $7 per car, and no in-out privileges. Personal kites are not permitted. The event is a presentation of the Gujarati Cultural Association of Ottawa.
The Pride Picnic Potluck takes place at the Mill of Kintail Museum from 1-330PM, hosted by Pride Mississippi Mills and Safer Together. RSVP or get more info: safertogether@proton.me
Carleton Place:
Today: The Library Lemonade Stand Summer Reading Kick Off event is on from 1:30-3:30pm. Come for a few minutes, grab a glass of free lemonade and pick up your Summer Reading registration kit. There’s lots of information about the Juvenile Summer Reading program, Teen Summer Reading, and Adult Summer Reading programs.
The Carleton Place Beer Festival promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees. The festival takes place at the CP Market Pavilion and parking lot (7 Beckwith Street) Friday. Doors open at 4:00 PM, with last call at 10:15 PM. Featured are Craft Beverage Vendors, Food Trucks, and Live Music.
