Arnprior:
Take Note: Now that Priorpalooza is in the rearview mirror, the Town of Arnprior’s Summer Events schedule is proceeding apace. The School’s Out Beach Party is a newer favourite on the Arnprior Summer Calendar. The feature is presented by Kirk Orthodontics, offering Family-friendly orthodontic care for patients age 7 to adults. It’s Thursday, June 26th, starting at 5PM, at Robert Simpson Park in Arnprior.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The North Lanark Regional Museum invites you to join in Mondays at Noon for lunch and euchre! The new program “Shuffling the Cards” runs every Monday from 12-2:30 pm. Members of the community are invited for a nutritious lunch and a game of euchre. Admission is $5 per person. This program is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Grant.
Tomorrow: 3D Printing help is available at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library. Grant Montag is the library’s volunteer 3D print Ambassador. He’s at Almonte branch most Tuesdays, 1230-2PM.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Carleton Place Public Library is proud to partner with the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville to offer a Caregiver Support group. These monthly meetings for caregivers are offered to any person caring for a loved one living with dementia. Join a representative from the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark Leeds and Grenville for opportunities to develop a social network, coping strategies and to meet others in similar situations. Drop-ins are welcome, but connecting with the Alzheimer’s Society beforehand is appreciated. Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
Local Sports:
