Summer Event Release - 1
Last week on What’s Good, Arnprior Recreation Program and Events Supervisor Lucas Power filled us in on the stellar lineup of special events and staples planned for the community this summer.
But Power’s presentation to Arnprior Council of May 26th didn’t end there!
There are many mainstay activities happening for kids on weekdays in the upcoming Summer Season.
Let’s begin with Recreation’s signature camp for kids.
The upper age limit for Camp Wanna-go, historically age 10, has been extended as participants ages 11 to 13 see their talents put to use with the new “Councillor-in-Training” aspect.
For those children with a performing arts bent:
There’d have been a hole in the Town’s Summer Camps programming this year- as due to the arena reconstruction this year at the Nick Smith Centre it’s not possible to run the Ringette and Hockey School programs in July.
Sports Camp is offered July 21st to the 25th.
The Recreation Programming and Events Supervisor says so far everyone that wants a space in each stream of summer camp offerings has been accommodated.
Power says in order to keep everyone a “happy camper” even if they’re not attending one of the three camp streams, there are thrice-weekly park activities that rotate through the many park facilities in the community.
Lucas Power rhymes off how one can find out more about the activities he has summarized.
Do so by Visiting Arnprior.ca and check the calendar or Programs tab; Visit the Nick Smith Centre or Town Hall and talk to a staff member, and/or pick up a hard copy of Arnprior Life.
