Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: Arnprior Recreation presents Craft Night from 5-7PM at the Nick Smith Centre Community Hall.
Craft Night is a program where parents can drop off their child under supervision of experienced Program Staff and allow them time with friends as they do crafts. The craft will be led by staff, but kids are more than welcome to provide their own creative spin on the project. The program is for ages 4-13 and is free with the Youth Club membership.
Take Note: The Arnprior Lions Club’s Annual Jail and Bail Event is coming up Saturday June 14th at the Giant Tiger Parking Lot. One of the culprits behind bars is the Valley’s own Wayne Rostad! For more information call Lion Don Gougeon at 613-299-8704.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: 3D Printing help is available at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 1230-2PM. Grant Montag is the library’s volunteer 3D print Ambassador.
Tomorrow: Baby Time, featuring songs, rhymes and stories for children up to 12 months with a caregiver happens Wednesdays from 10 to 1030AM at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library. It’s followed by Story Time, from 11 to 11:30AM for children ages 1-4 with caregiver.
Film in the Afternoon is a monthly feature that is shown the last Wednesday of the month from 1-3PM. Stop by the Almonte branch library. Check the library website for the movie title of the month. No registration required. Room capacity is 30 people.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Carleton Place Community Lunch occurs from Noon-1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
Tomorrow: Free Community Breakfast occurs at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street from 830-1030AM
Cruise Night happens from 5-8PM at the Anderson’s Independent Grocer Parking Lot. Classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, 50/50 draw, door prizes, and music. More information at My68lark@rogers.com
