Officials from the Town of Arnprior have issued a notice to the public after receiving reports of residents being approached by an individual representing himself as The Town of Arnprior and offering to have their water tested for lead.
“If you are approached by anyone claiming to be the Town of Arnprior offering to test for lead, please do not engage,” reads the notice. “The town does not do door to door offers of testing.”
If you would like your water tested, you can contact the Town at 613-623-4231.
“Past door-to-door campaigns have targeted residents using the claim of unsafe drinking water. Residents are reminded that the Town of Arnprior’s drinking water supply is subject to extensive testing and regular monitoring,” reads the notice.
Copies of the Town’s 2024 Water Filtration Plant Annual Summary Report can be found on the Town website or can be requested by calling the clerk’s office at 613-623-4231 ext. 1818.
