Jim Millar (Zohr Family Funeral Home photo)
Jim Millar’s work to support and improve the Town of Renfrew is appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Millar, who passed away May 2 at Hospice Renfrew, is being remembered as a devoted family man, a dedicated 25-year Sunlife advisor, and a community booster who supported plenty of local causes, including as a volunteer for Renfrew Minor Hockey. He was also an integral part of the second ice pad committee.
The Renfrew BIA issued a statement announcing the sad news.
“Jim will be remembered for his warm smile and dedication to his clients,” it reads. “Our deepest condolences go out to Laurie and family, and Jim’s Sunlife team during this difficult time.”
The BIA will be making a donation to Hospice Renfrew in Jim’s memory.
A funeral service was planned for Tuesday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Renfrew, the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation or Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church.
Tributes, condolences and donations may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
