Take Note: The Great Arnprior Trash Hunt is back for its second round! The event will take place this coming Saturday, April 26th. This year’s event will be held at the Arnprior & District Museum. The trash hunt will take place from 9 am to 11 am, and from 11 am to Noon, a complimentary BBQ will be hosted for all participants. Supplies will be provided, and once again, there will be prizes!

Mississippi Mills:
Today: A Meal for All presents its Free Community Breakfast this morning from 830-1030AM at 111 Church Streeet in Almonte.
A Tree Walk and Talk with Arborist Rob Cretien takes place from 1-6PM at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area.
The ADHS Drama Club presents “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” (High School Edition) at 14 Bridge Street Almonte, beginning at 730PM. Tickets are $20. Show dates are Thursday April 24th, Friday April 25th and Saturday April 26th at 730PM. A matinee takes place Sunday April 27th at 2PM. Can’t make it this week? Movie Night at the Almonte United Church presents Julie and Julia. The film starts at 7PM. Admission by donation. $1 for popcorn, drinks or hot dog.

Carleton Place:
Today: On Thursday, April 24th, at 7:00 PM, join us at the Carleton Place Town Hall Auditorium (175 Bridge Street) for an insightful event exploring the intersection between intimate partner violence and economic vulnerability, and how basic income could help reduce the incidence of this form of violence. Guest speakers include Senator Kim Pate and Erin Lee, Executive Director of Lanark County Interval House & Community Support (“LCIHCS”). Also joining the panel will be a person with lived experience, who will share her personal experiences and insights. This event is hosted by the Lanark Basic Income Network in collaboration with LCIHCS.
