Good Friday is among the holiest days on the Christian calendar, and things are closed up.
Businesses, financial institutions, municipal and government offices are shuttered.
Shoppers will be out and about Saturday, as stores are guaranteed to be open, but many institutions normally open on a regular Sundays will be closed Easter Sunday- and others that customarily close Sunday will take Monday as a holiday in lieu.
