Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Take Note: The first annual “Bunny Run” is coming up Saturday April 19th, and is proving quite popular with residents. Because of limited registration spaces, Arnprior Recreation is maintaining a waiting list to try to satisfy as many participants as possible. There are 2k and 5k events and medals will be awarded to all who take part. Contact Lucas Power, Programming and Events Supervisor, at 613-623-7301 extension 1795.
Also Saturday, the Museum is hosting its first-ever “Repair Cafe”, from 2-4PM. Bring texile items you’d like to learn to fix, or have an expert teach you how to fix and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust Community Auction gives you the opportunity to bid on various birdhouses while helping support the conservation work of the MMLT. Take part beginning at 8AM Tuesday, and continuing through to 5PM on Wednesday April 30th. Scan the QR code from the associated poster, or log on at mmlt.ca/events
3D Printing help is available at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 12:30-2PM
On-going Tuesday projects include the Digital Doorways tutorials offered at the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre from 4-7PM, and the second in a series of a 4 week course on Haiku and related forms, happening from 6-8PM at the Almonte Public Library with Claudia Radmore- for registrants only.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
Local Sports:
Today’s scheduled Game 7 in the EOJHL’s Barkley Cup final will not be necessary. The Ottawa Junior Canadians were awarded the cup Sunday afternoon in Carleton Place, downing their namesake Junior Canadians in six games to win the league title.
