Tomorrow: Junior Youth Night and Youth Night follow each other at the Nick Smith Centre Community Hall. Junior Youth Night, is at 5PM. Youth Night activities follow at 6PM
Take Note: The first annual “Bunny Run” is coming up Saturday April 19th, and is proving quite popular with residents. Because of limited registration spaces, Arnprior Recreation is maintaining a waiting list to try to satisfy as many participants as possible. There are 2k and 5k events and medals will be awarded to all who take part. Contact Lucas Power, Programming and Events Supervisor, at 613-623-7301 extension 1795.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: Baby Time, with songs and rhymes for children up to 12 months old (with caregiver) is held from 10AM to 1030AM at the Almonte Branch of the Library, followed by Story Time from 11AM-1130 for ages 1-4 with caregiver.

A Conversational Spanish group meets at the Almonte Library Branch every second Wednesday from 4-5PM
The monthly travelogue is “Cycle the Erie Canal Bike Tour in New York State at the Almonte Library Branch from 7-8PM
Tomorrow: Due to the storm warnings of snow and freezing rain, accepting applications for the Veterans Banners in Pakenham at the Pakenham Public Library that was to have taken place this past Saturday, March 29th, has been rescheduled to later this week: Thursday, April 10th, between 3:30pm and 6:30pm at the Pakenham Library.
Carleton Place:
Today: The Free Community Breakfast happens at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street from 830-1030AM
The Queer Sphere Crafting Circle happens from 3-430PM at the Carleton Place Public Library. Participants will be creating button plants. Adult Craft Night will see those taking part assemble Spring Wreaths; also at the Library, beginning at 630. This event requires pre-registration.
Tomorrow: Attend a Poetry Reading entitled “Sweet Vinegars- Wildflower Poems by Claudia Coutu Radmore from 6-730PM at the Carleton Place Public Library.
Take Note: Arts Carleton Place presents a “Taste of Art Open House” on Saturday April 12th from 1-430PM at the beautiful new space beside Giardino Salon in the heart of downtown. A Taste of Art’ is an interim pop-up exhibition to showcase Arts Carleton Place (ACP) artists’ work until the end of May, when the ACP Art Hub Gallery will officially relocate to this stunning space. The 10-week pop-up gallery is open from March 14th to May 24th.
Local Sports:
The EOJHL’s Barkley Cup will be decided between the Richardson Division finalists, the Carleton Place Junior Canadians and the Martin Division Camps, the Ottawa Junior Canadians. Game three in the series was Tuesday night as Carleton Place is in Ottawa at 720PM. Tonight (April 9th) Ottawa is in Carleton Place at 7PM. Saturday April 12th, Carleton Place is in Ottawa at 720 (if necessary). Sunday April 13th Ottawa is in Carleton Place at 3PM (if necessary) and game 7 would go Tuesday April 15th in Ottawa (if necessary).
