Tomorrow: Autism Ontario has embraced tie dye shirts as each shirt is different, just as each child is different. In solidarity, Arnprior Recreation has added an additional craft program program to commemorate World Autism Day on Wednesday April 2nd. Youth can join in along with free pizza and juice. Resident cost is $15.00, non-resident $22.50

Take Note: The Town of Arnprior will be hosting a Community Open House as part of the Age Friendly Community Plan Renewal process. All residents are invited to drop in on Thursday, April 3rd to the Age Friendly Community Plan: Community Open House anytime between 3:30pm-5:30pm at the Arnprior Public Library.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: 3D Printing help is available at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 1230 to 2PM. If you have attended a 3D print workshop in the past, but are not yet confident doing it all by yourself, Grant Montag is the library’s volunteer 3D print Ambassador.
Digital Doorways Web Development workshops for youth ages 10-18 continue at the Mississippi Mills Youth Centre from 4-7PM Tuesday. Registration Required.
Take Note: Due to the storm warnings of snow and freezing rain, accepting applications for the Veterans Banners in Pakenham at the Pakenham Public Library that was to have taken place this past Saturday, March 29th, has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 10th, 2025 between 3:30pm and 6:30pm at the Pakenham Library.
Carleton Place:
Today: Planet Youth Lanark County presents a breakfast for civic leaders wherein they will be addressed by Dr. Ungar on the local project. Pre-registration was required. The event takes place at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street.
The Carleton Place Community Lunch is on today from Noon to 1PM at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklyn Street.
Tomorrow: Cookbook Book Club’s next session is Wednesday, April 2nd from 6:30-8pm. The theme this month is “Deceptively Delicious” or foods that look like they shouldn’t taste as good as they do. Please bring enough for everyone to have a little sample and don’t forget to also bring your recipe to share. This session will be drop in this month—no registration required! As the library is a nut-free space, please try to keep your dishes peanut free.
Local Sports:
The EOJHL’s Barkley Cup will be decided between the Richardson Division finalists, the Carleton Place Junior Canadians and the Martin Division Camps, the Ottawa Junior Canadians. Tonight’s game at the Earl Armstrong Arena is the series opener and it gets underway at 720PM. On Saturday, Ottawa visits Carleton Place at 730PM. Tuesday April 8th, Carleton Place is in Ottawa at 720PM. Wednesday April 9th Ottawa is in Carleton Place at 7PM. Saturday April 12th, Carleton Place is in Ottawa at 720 (if necessary).
