
A 40-year-old Arnprior resident is facing numerous charges after Renfrew police, with assistance from Renfrew County Family and Children’s Services (FCS), investigated allegations of child abuse.
On March 14, Renfrew Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) completed a joint investigation with FCS in Arnprior.
As a result of the investigation, the accused, age 40 from Arnprior, was charged with: 23 counts of assault; spousal assault; assault causing bodily harm, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and three counts of killing or injuring animals.
“The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 30,” reads the release. “In efforts to protect the identity of the victims, the accused will not be named.
