
Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Today: There are two focus group sessions that will help the Town of Arnprior to revise its its Age Friendly Community Plan. Residents who are aged 65+ are invited to participate.
Session 1 is at 9AM Thursday and is hosted at Aspira Island View Retirement Living.
Session 2 is at 1PM and is hosted at the Seniors Active Living Centre.

Take Note: March 16th is the date the ice is being removed from the Bert Hall Arena, as part of renovation work underway at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior. Tuesday February 18th, the Glenn Arthur Arena was put on hiatus- thus there will be no summer ice at the NSC in 2025. Other aspects of the Recreation facility and Community Hall will continue uninterrupted during the renovation period.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: A Meal for All’s Free Community Breakfast takes place from 830-1030AM at 111 Church Street in Almonte.
Home Hospice North Lanark’s Caregivers Coffee and Support Group meets the second Thursday of the month at Unit 2-500 Ottawa Street from 1-3PM. If you plan to attend contact programsupport@hhnl.ca
Come out to Almonte Old Town Hall for a special pre-release of Moana 2 in the auditorium, from 230-4PM. The Mississippi Mills Youth Centre will be hosting the canteen with yummy treats. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased through www.ticketsplease.ca

EOJHL: Sunday March 16th The Ottawa Junior Canadians visit the Casselman Vikings at 130PM. The Carleton Place Junior Canadians are in Richmond against the Royals at 720PM. Tuesday March 18th the Casselman Vikings are in Ottawa versus the Junior Canadians at 720PM. The Richmond Royals are in Carleton Place against the Junior Canadians at 730PM. Wednesday March 19th the Carleton Place Junior Canadians are in Richmond against the Royals at 820PM. Thursday March 20th the Ottawa Junior Canadians play the Vikings in Casselman at 730PM. Saturday March 22nd the Casselman Vikings travel to Ottawa to play the Junior Canadians. The Richmond Royals are in Carleton Place against the Junior Canadians at 730PM.
