
Here’s what’s going on in Arnprior and area over the next 48 hours.
Arnprior:
Tomorrow: Introduction to Bridge takes place at the Arnprior Duplicate Bridge Club at 5102 Highway 17, Arnprior. This is the second-to-last of six sessions and runs from 10AM to Noon.
Take Note: March 16th is the date the ice is being removed from the Bert Hall Arena, as part of renovation work underway at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior. Tuesday February 18th, the Glenn Arthur Arena was put on hiatus- thus there will be no summer ice at the NSC in 2025. Other aspects of the Recreation facility and Community Hall will continue uninterrupted during the renovation period.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: The March Break Camp offered to kids aged 6-12 by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority, will include educational and fun activities that coincide with the changing seasons. The Camp runs from 9AM to 4PM through Friday.
The North Lanark Regional Museum presents Dealing with Disasters- The Crises That Shaped Our Heroes showcasing the disasters and first responders of Mississippi Mills. The museum is open Monday – Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM at 647 River Rd, Almonte. Step into the world of bravery, history, and community spirit at the North Lanark Regional Museum’s new exhibit. Tomorrow: 3D Printing help is available at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library from 1230-2PM with 3D Ambassador Grant Montag.
Carleton Place:
Today: Cowguy Jon Busker performs at the Carleton Place Arena in the Upper Hall on Monday from 10-11AM. Admission is $2.00 per person. Jon performs rolling globe walking, plate spinning, a hint of magic, and mini-bicycling and his shows are full of audience engagement and participation.
Tomorrow: The Carleton Place Community Lunch takes place at Zion Memorial Church, 37 Franklin Street from Noon to 1PM.
Crafts in the Arena Lobby happens from 1230-230PM at 75 Neelin Street. The event is free.
Crochet A Wooble at the Library from 1-4PM. Whether you’ve ever crocheted before or not—we’ll be starting from scratch to teach everyone how to create the cutest little rabbit. Registration for this event is now open:

EOJHL: Monday March 10th the Ottawa Junior Canadians visit the Ottawa West Golden Knights at 720PM. Tuesday March 11th the Ottawa West Golden Knights visit the Ottawa Junior Canadians at 720PM. The Richmond Royals are in Athens versus the Aeros at 730PM. The Carleton Place Junior Canadians take on the Timberwolves in Renfrew at 730PM. The Casselman Vikings are in Glengarry against the Brigade at 730PM.
