Calabogie Motorsports Park is giving the green light to an all-Canadian lineup of legendary and rising artists later this summer.
Visitors will see some of the nation’s most celebrated rock and country acts at the first-ever Guitars and Gasoline Festival, happening June 6-8, including Blue Rodeo, Josh Ross, The Trews, Theory of a Deadman, The Headstones, Owen Riegling, and Alexa Goldie.
The park’s Business Development Manager, Cory Klinkenberg, says guests will not get a better deal on the chance to see as much amazing musical talent in one spot as Guitars and Gasoline hopes to knock their first impression with festival fans out of the park.
He also says that the unique backdrop that the local racetrack offers has been a treat for veteran festival producer Ken Craig, who considers the space “absolutely perfect for a festival.”
Craig believes the “combination of live music, camping, and a stunning outdoor setting will create an experience like no other—giving fans the intimate feeling of watching a concert in their own backyard.”
Klinkenberg adds people thinking about spending the entire weekend with Guitars and Gasoline will not be short on options for how they spend their nights.
Calabogie Motorsports Park President Marc Steenbakkers says hosting a major music festival has been on his radar for some time, noting that “after 18 years of running our world-class facility, we are very excited to finally use our Stadium Track Bowl to its full potential.”
Single-day, weekend, and VIP passes are now on sale with special early bird pricing and giveaway draws available online.
