The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) issued a water safety statement on March 3. While no flooding is anticipated, warm temperatures and rain may lead to high water levels. This could cause jams in waterways and create unsafe ice conditions. Please stay off the ice. Melting snow and ice can sometimes block storm drains, culverts, and catch basins, leading to localized ponding.
