There’s plenty of enthusiasm in the community about a new Renfrew business that will be opening its doors on Monday, Feb. 24.
When the owners of Reset Renfrew first officially announced their plans to open a boutique wellness studio for recovery and rejuvenation, they were overwhelmed with positive comments and feedback.
Joe Bennett and Jake Crilly sat down with myFM to explain that their Raglan Street studio will offer contrast therapy – alternating between heat (in the custom-built sauna) and cold plunges.
They say contrast therapy promotes improved circulation, reduced inflammation, and enhanced metabolism, along with faster recovery and reduced stress.
Bennett and Crilly are both fitness enthusiasts who bonded over their enthusiasm for cold plunging. It’s something that’s becoming more widely used but available mostly in larger cities, said Bennett.
Reset is a recovery lounge for athletes, for sure, but also for everyday people so they can reset their body and mind.
Reset has been coming together over several months and Bennett says they are excited to show it off to the community.
They’re thrilled with the location, in the renovated space where McPhail and Perkins furniture store once was.
Crilly, who grew up in the area, says the business partners see a wealth of potential in Renfrew, a growing community.
Along with their shared enthusiasm for fitness and contrast therapy, the business partners each bring a unique and incredibly useful skillset to the business. Crilly is a carpenter who has done much of the work himself, and Bennett has extensive experience in the fitness industry.
Memberships and bookings are live on the website and there are special promotions on offer.
