Thanks to recent funding from Canadian Tire Jumpstart, Youth Club is expanding to include a Youth Sports Program, operating twice weekly through the spring session. This program is part of your Youth Club membership, and will run weekly from 6-730PM. Tuesday sessions will be at the Nick Smith Centre, and Thursday activities will be offered at St. john XXIII School and the Sullivan Rink of Dreams. Learn more and register at Arnprior.ca/YouthClub.
Mississippi Mills:
Today: 6-Hand Euchre in the upstairs hall of the Stewart Community Centre is the Pakenham Frost Festival event for Thursday. Admission is $5 per person.
Tomorrow: The Snow Ball Family Dance is at the Arena Upper Hall of the Stewart Community Centre at the Pakenham Frost Festival Friday. Admission is $25 per family, beginning at 630PM.
Trivia takes place at the Curling Club. $60 per team. Register with oconnors@sympatico.ca
Take Note: The Municipality has launched its new website. Its Community Events Section has yet to be populated, but your favourite weekly events continue as scheduled.
Carleton Place:
Take Note: The Town of Carleton Place presents “The Maywoods: John Prine Experience” in the Carleton Place Town Hall Auditorium, Saturday January 25th. If you were hoping to attend, regrettably the event is sold out!
Local Sports:
EOJHL: Friday January 24th the Glengarry Brigade play the Blue Wings in Perth at 730PM. Arnprior Packers are in Embrun against the Panthers at 8PM. The Ottawa West Golden Knights are in Winchester versus the Hawks at 815PM. Saturday January 25th the Casselman Vikings take on the Carleton Place Junior Canadians at the Neelin Street Arena at 730PM. The Ottawa Junior Canadians go against the Aeros in Athens at 730PM. The Embrun Panthers play the Brigade in Glengarry at 8PM.
EOSL: Friday January 24th: The Arnprior Rivermen host the Manotick Mariners at the NSC beginning at 730PM.
