A reminder about Curbside Leaf Collection in Carleton Place. The initiative runs from Monday, October 28th, ending on Friday, November 8th.
There are a lot of leaves in our urban forest, and Public Works asks you to be patient, as it will take some time for the leaves to be collected.
So once you’ve placed your leaves curbside, please leave them there.
Here are the rules to assure your leaves are picked up:
Your leafs must be placed at the curb in paper bags before 8AM. No plastic bags will be accepted.
If any bag weighs over 15kg it will be left behind.
The Compost Yard is also available for disposal- but only until November 9th. It is located at 128 Patterson Crescent, and is open Saturdays until then (weather permitting), from 8AM to 1PM.
The Compost Yard closes for the season November 9th and is scheduled to reopen in Spring 2025. (No specific date is given).
