Residents of Almonte will be in the dark in broad daylight on Sunday. Hydro One has a planned power outage affecting all Ottawa River Power Corporation (ORPC) customers in Almonte on Sunday, September 29 from about 6AM to 1PM. According to ORPC, this outage is required to allow Hydro One to safely install new equipment on their system, which will impact ORPC’s supply from the transmission system feeding Almonte. Affected customers have been notified by ORPC via automated message, but if you have any questions or concerns, please contact ORPC’s customer service team at 1-877-332-3316.
