No need to plot your own Poutine Pilgrimage; this week in Arnprior, Poutine Feast comes to you!
Dave Conway has one of the best jobs as a pitch man anywhere- he’s media spokesperson for the caravan of chip wagons that spends its summers delighting communities on an itinerant schedule.
Conway says they’ve been hither, thither and yon.
That’s since 2018, when the great idea hit the road.
The proof in the pudding, says Conway, came last weekend, when Poutine Feast found that a significant portion of the clientele came from the poutine homeland of Quebec.
Each chip truck has a home base nearby, and a particular specialty it pushes.
Some of the vendors experiment with new creations, and others stick to their mainstays.
The Poutine Feast spokesperson says there’s a lemonade stand, mini-donuts, outdoor games, face-painting and temporary tattoos.
Dave Conway says you don’t have to struggle with your menu choices, come back often to the Robert Simpson location- and pick one per occasion.
There’s great mini-donuts, and a lemonade stand as well, with temporary tattoos and face-painting duties handled by Janet Laverne from Constance Bay. Bon Appetite!
