This Saturday marks the official grand opening of the Arnprior-McNab-Braeside Men’s Shed at its new location in the old Braeside School house.
Spokesperson Gary McBurney says there will be a shuttle running folks from the municipal parking lot to the site.
Reason being there’s a full house of support staff for the celebration that will be on hand.
McBurney says the new location is roomier- meaning some logistic improvements; there’s a noisy room- and a quiet one for the carvers.
The move to the new location hasn’t been the only change for the Men’s Shed, which began under the auspices of Arnprior Regional Health.
The government at Queen’s Park is strong on keeping things to a core mandate- and not every hospital has a Men’s Shed under its wing.
McBurney reiterates the incentives of coming to see the Men’s Shed’s new digs Saturday.
And the Men’s Shed spokesperson knows there will be those that have fond memories of the Braeside School house as well.
The event happens Saturday from 10AM to 2PM.
