The Renfrew Agricultural Society made the most of an uncharacteristically cold and wet forecast to entertain guests at the 169th Renfrew Fair.
Coordinator Judy Dobec says that pretty much everything happening inside the fairgrounds over the four-day event went well, with the exception of the weather.
Dobec says that visitors to the fairgrounds were able to enjoy themselves despite heavy rain on Friday night and blustery conditions over the weekend, with only a few horse pull categories falling victim to cancellations because of the weather.
She says that the Agricultural Society is already looking ahead to 2025, and it won’t be long until they begin putting together the line-up for when next September rolls around.
Their next meeting in October is a perfect time for people looking to get involved with the fair to jump on board, and Dobec calls it a perfect opportunity for local youth looking for volunteer opportunities.
