The third annual Arnprior Rotary Tarts and Arts Festival is this Saturday morning at Robert Simpson Park.
Rotarian Terry Dawson is spokesperson.
He says with everything going on over the two days this weekend, there’s no lack of attractions in the Town where the rivers meet.
Dawson says if you want to come in costume, you’re welcome to.
Terry Dawson says the tart vendors have the option to have their creations judged.
The Rotarian says the competition can be intense.
Terry Dawson says Rotary’s Tarts and Arts Festival has become quite the collaboration.
The Arnprior Rotary Tarts and Arts Festival is something the club does for the community, in concert with the sponsors that help make the event possible.
If a sponsor donates goods, or a service, where that money goes is in a category by itself.
First year, the auction proceeds went to Ukraine- last year, it was Teachers Against Poverty.
This year, Rotary’s objective is to erect two “Peace Poles”
The Tarts and Arts Festival, Saturday August 24th, 930AM to 3PM at Arnprior’s Robert Simpson Park.
