A bit of history could not be much more current!
On display now at the Dr. R. Tait McKenzie and James Naismith Museum is an exciting new temporary exhibit
“Logo Woman” is a statue on loan to the museum from Toronto’s The Local Collective, in partnership with NBA Canada.
Logo Woman has a story all her own.
The statue was created in 2023 when the NBA hosted its first-ever WNBA game in Canada in Toronto.
For fan engagement, NBA Canada, the WNBA and Tangerine brought the WNBA logo to life in the form of a 12 foot tall, three-dimensional statue.
The sculpture serves as a powerful and strong symbol of the strength of women’s professional sports today.
Installed july 19th, Logo Woman will be on display until mid-September.
Stop by for a look and don’t forget to check out the other great collections at the museum at the Mill of Kintail.
