Canada Day in the Town Where the Rivers Meet begins early, with a Pancake Breakfast presented by the Arnprior Lions Club at the Nick Smith Centre Community Hall from 8AM to 11AM.
The Bobby Legault Bike Parade forms up on John Street North at Ottawa Street at 11:45 AM, and continues to Robert Simpson Park to inaugurate the day’s festivities, followed by Opening Ceremonies, Live Music and Family Entertainment on the Gazebo stage from Noon to 5PM.
The Music Schedule sees performances from Rosewood Avenue, Jamie McMunn, One Way Bridge and the Main Street School of Music, each of an hour’s duration including set up and takedown from 12:30 to 5PM
Adjacent at the Galilee Centre from 1 to 4PM you are invited to attend the Strawberry Social.
At 2PM the Rotary Club Mad Duck Race begins from the Madawaska Bridge. If you have a rubber duck in the race, prizes are 1500, 1000 and 500 dollars for first, second and third place ducks.
Walk Through the Decades (an Archival Fundraiser) commences at 4PM from the Arnprior Library, and the popular Fireworks display (shot off from the island by the weir commences at dusk.
