Beach goers in Arnprior will have to be patient following an announcement from municipal officials on Friday, June 7.
“Due to the recent heavy rain fall town beaches will be closed for swimming until 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 9,” reads a social media post. “Cool off at the Robert Simpson Park splash pad, which remains open or at the Nick Smith Centre Pool.”
Officials say that high levels of bacteria in the water may pose a risk to your health.
Up-to-date information can be found on the town’s website.
