Living Lakes Canada is hosting its 4th annual Lake Biodiversity Photo Challenge, inviting lake enthusiasts to submit photos celebrating lake beauty and raising awareness of threats to their biodiversity. From June 1 to July 31, participants can enter photos in four categories: Lake Landscapes, Lake Biodiversity, Lake Impacts, and a Youth Category for photographers aged 16 and under.
This year’s grand prize is an online photography workshop with Nikon Canada Ambassador Viktoria Haack. Winners will also receive prizes from LUSH Cosmetics and Kicking Horse Coffee. Eight winners will be announced in August, with a Judges’ Favourite and a Public Favourite in each category.
In partnership with the Canadian Conservation Photographers Collective, the contest emphasizes ethical nature photography.
Submit photos through lakeblitzphoto.livinglakescanada.ca or by tagging Living Lakes Canada on social media posts with the lake’s name, location, and category. All photos will be featured in an online gallery, with weekly highlights shared on social media. Each person can submit one photo per day taken within the last 12 months.
