A labour stoppage at the Magellan Aerospace Haley plant, which has now lasted longer than its previous strike in 2021, could be coming to an end.
Workers have been on the picket line for nine weeks and are set to vote on an offer this Friday, May 24, says Jennifer McMaster, president of Local 4820 United Steelworkers.
A strike in 2021 lasted eight weeks and before that, labour stoppage in 2012 carried on for six weeks. Some 330 workers are affected by the strike.
At issue are wages, and a lack of improvements to benefit and pension plans.
