Welcome to “What’s Open, What’s Closed”, the unofficial start of Summer this Victoria Day (May 2-4) Weekend edition.
Let’s start with the Beer Store; it is closed, as is the LCBO. Outlet and Agency Stores in the smaller adjacent communities may well be open.
Need groceries? You can get them today at Metro in Arprior, it’s open reduced hours- from 8AM to 5PM, but No Frills and Giant Tiger are closed today.
You need a prescription filled? Shoppers Drug Mart on Elgin Street is open. (A community must have at least one pharmacy open on a rotational basis during a Statutory Holiday).
Banks and Financial Institutions are taking the day off. Government Buildings, including Service Canada and Town Hall are closed. Garbage and/or Recycling normally picked up today moves to Tuesday collection this week.
Crave Cannabis? These confectionaries only close Christmas Day.
