Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town in the next 48 hours.
Get your shop on at a couple of rummage sales being held in Arnprior – at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. to noon and at the Arnprior Lionettes Spring Rummage Sale, 10 a.m. to noon at the Anglican Church Hall on Harrington Street.
Check out the Ottawa Valley Market at Arnprior’s Nick Smith Centre on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network and Ronald McDonald Charities Canada.
The Culture in Arnprior Speaker Series continues Saturday at the Arnprior and District Museum, as Jane Rupert guides us through the 1860 Royal Visit of the Prince of Wales, as recounted by Sir Henry Wentworth Acland’s diary account of the journey. It’s at the museum from 2-4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

LOCAL SPORTS: Support Our Teams!
There is a National Lifeguard course taking place in the Nick Smith Centre pool April 26-28, and May 10-12. All pool programs will be sharing the pool with the course on those dates (Fridays between 5:30 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Clients should expect a busy and loud pool and there will be some changes to swim capacities and program schedules on these dates.
Swim capacity will be lowered to 14 clients during these times, register online to ensure a swimming spot. The following swims have been cancelled on Sunday, April 28 4o allow enough training and room for our potential future Lifeguards: Lane Swim (8 a.m.); Public Swim (2 p.m.); and Senior Swim (4 p.m.).
