The CT Scan Campaign for Arnprior Regional Health is going well, according to ARH Foundation Executive Director Ben Gardiner.
Oldies 107.7 caught up with Ben at the cheque presentation from local McDonalds restaurant owner Brian Johnstone yesterday (February 26th) on Baskin Drive.
The current ARHF fundraising drive was officially launched Saturday December 2nd at the annual Penny Stashick Ugly Sweater Walk at Robert Simpson Park.
2.2 million dollars is the established objective, and an unofficial first event was the brainchild of retired Presbyterian Minister Leo Hughes and his late spouse.
The Reverend’s “Refreshing Collection” of Coca-Cola Memorabilia provided many a welcome stocking-stuffer in the Arnprior area over Christmas.
Hughes Collection was on display until the end of January at the former Video Flicks location in the Arnprior Mall.
The ARHF Executive Director says the operational deadline for the diagnostic machine is year’s end.
Not only will the CT scanner eliminate required travel for patients and clients of the local hospital, having an operational unit at ARH will contribute to greater local doctor retention.
