The long weekend was anything but restful for members of the Arnprior Fire Department with crews responding to a number of incidents.
Arnprior Fire Chief Rick Desarmia said calls for service numbered at least seven in two days.
While neighbouring McNab/Braeside Fire Department dealt with a fatal snowmobile crash on Saturday, the Arnprior Fire Department responded to a snowmobile crash on Sunday that resulted in two people being sent to hospital with injuries.
That incident, which occurred on the Algonquin Trail between Decosta Street and Highway 17, involved two people riding on one snowmobile. Fire crews responded just after 7 p.m. and were on scene until just after 9:30 p.m.
Along with responding to Monday’s incident of a vehicle crashing through the window at W.O. Stinson and Son on Vanjumar Drive, calls for service included a gas leak, a propane leak and a CO2 emergency.
